Zaxby’s Prepares to spread it’s Wings in Dayton

Zaxby’s to locate at 300 Abel Drive next to Rhea Towne Place

With construction recently started, the newest Zaxby’s location in the Chattanooga market is coming soon to 300 Abel Drive. A fan favorite for chicken fingers and wings, the new fast-casual restaurant is scheduled to open later this year and will celebrate the grand opening by giving away a Fanatic Pack of 52 Free Dealz — meaning a free item at Zaxby’s each week for a year — to the first 100 guests.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer the residents of Dayton this convenient Zaxby’s location,” said Shannon Brown, co-licensee of the new location. “Zaxby’s continues to be a perfect fit for growing areas like Dayton and we saw a great need here for the quality product and customer service that we feel this brand so perfectly provides on a regular basis. The wonderful, family-friendly environment in Dayton matches Zaxby’s own family driven motto and we are thrilled to partner with this community.”

Enjoying great chicken in an atmosphere where you could be yourself? That’s what childhood friends Zach McLeroy and Tony Townley wanted to achieve when they founded Zaxby’s back in the 1990s. Many years and locations later, Zaxby’s is still delivering on that promise: to serve delicious chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches and salads in a fun, offbeat atmosphere where we welcome customers as friends. As of September 2016, Zaxby’s has grown to more than 700 locations in 17 states and is headquartered in Athens, Georgia.

With seating for 72, the new 3,650-square-foot location will reflect the Zaxby’s farmhouse design, which rolled out last year. Highlighting the brand’s commitment to its guests’ overall dining experience, the layout offers guests a high-end, fast-casual experience, with redesigned exteriors, dining areas and kitchens. Point-of-sale and other improvements will further enhance food quality and increase speed of service.

Zaxby’s currently operates in 17 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia.

An alternative to fast food, Zaxby’s offers prepared-at-order chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches and salads. Zaxby’s most popular items are its hand-breaded Chicken Fingerz and Traditional or Boneless Wings, smothered in a choice of nine sauces with names like Wimpy, Tongue Torch, Nuclear and Insane. The menu also offers innovative Zappetizers like Tater Chips, Spicy Fried Mushrooms and Fried White Cheddar Bites, as well as a variety of Party Platterz perfect for any family gathering or special occasion.

Dayton Zaxby’s guests will enjoy the Coca-Cola Company’s proprietary drink fountain, Coca-Cola Freestyle.

The sleek stylish fountain is touch less operated enabling guest to select from more than 100 regular and low-calorie brands including many varieties of water, sports drinks, lemonades, and sparkling beverages that were not available in the US prior to the arrival of Coca-Cola.

Zaxby’s also offers four salads, or Zalads: The House, The Blue, The Caesar and its newest addition, The Cobb. All of Zaxby’s Zalads are prepared with chicken, three kinds of lettuce, interesting ingredients — such as French-fried onions — fresh veggies and juicy tomatoes, and are larger than most salads served elsewhere. Zalads are assembled at the time the order is placed, versus being pre-made and stored in a cooler.

Additionally, Zaxby’s offers a line of premium milkshakes, including the Birthday Cake, Banana Pudding and the Chocolate Cookie. They are rich and creamy, hand-blended, and are topped with whipped cream.

“We’re currently seeking a team of more than 50 members from the local Dayton and surrounding areas,” said Brown. “Our goal is to help residents grow in their careers with us through some of our great employee incentives, such as, tuition reimbursement. Our General Manager and business partner, David Anziano from neighboring Bradley County, has been with us for over eight years now and we feel very blessed to have someone with his passion and culinary expertise, leading this new Able Drive location.”
