Rhea County quarterback Zack Pemberton has been named FB Bank’s Offensive Player of the Week for his Week 10 performance versus Cane Ridge.

Pemberton had 90 yards rushing for two touchdowns and 66 yards passing with a touchdown reception to fellow senior Bo Garmany.

A three-year starter for the Golden Eagles, Zack’s senior season has shined as he’s led the Triple Eagle Option with 956 yards and 19 touchdowns on the ground alone.  He currently has over 1,017 all-purpose yards for the season with 486 yards passing with eight touchdowns in the air.

For the season, Zack holds an overall QB rating of 125.5, and with a strong playoff run, could easily break Rhea County’s all-time, season touchdown record currently held by Alonzo Banks at 22.

Pemberton and his Eagle brethren look to establish the Golden Eagles as serious playoff contender with a first round win at Oak Ridge this Friday night.

The Offensive Player of the Week award is presented by FB Bank.
