YMCA offers free soccer camps

Dayton, TN — The YMCA will offering free soccer skills camps for boys and girls ages 3 to 15.  The first camp was on July 16th.  There will be more camps throughout August and early September.  Each player should bring ball, water, snacks and bring shin guards and cleats to be worn.

The YMCA is looking parents or anyone  who is interested in being a volunteer coach, referee and/or team mom.   Each Camp Session is fun, rewarding and ends with age appropriate games!

Camp topics include:

Dribbling & Possession–moves, turns, shield and change direction Pass & Receive–first touch skills and using the body attack & Defend–getting behind defenders and group passes/runs

Shoot & Head–scoring goals with confidence

Defending–apply pressure, cover to win the ball

to attack & score

Fall Soccer Registration begins August 10th and ends August 28, 2015.  The cost of league will be $55.00 for YMCA members and $85.00 for non-members.  The season begins in September and runs for 8 league games through November.
