NASHVILLEState Senator Ken Yager (R-Kingston) announced today that U.S. Senate candidate Bill Hagerty, Gov. Bill Lee, Congressman John Rose, Congressman Scott DesJarlais, Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, and Lt. Governor Randy McNally will join his Get-Out-the-Vote (GOTV) Bus Tour set for October 19 and 20.  The news follows last week’s announcement that Tennessee Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson (R-Franklin) will be at each of the seven rallies throughout Senate District 12.

“I could not be more pleased with the star power that has signed on to lead these get-out-the-vote rallies,” said Yager.  “We have had an incredible response from Tennessee’s top officials in Nashville and Washington D.C.  We have all of our 12th senatorial district Congressmen, our candidate for U.S. Senate, the Governor, and the Lt. Governor on various stops of the tour.  This is in addition to numerous state legislators and local officials who will be joining us at rallies along each tour stop.  It is a powerful line up and we just want to extend an invitation to all local citizens to join us.”

State Representative Dennis Powers (R-Jacksboro), Kelly Keisling (R-Byrdstown) and John Mark Windle (D-Livingston) have confirmed participation at tour stops in the counties they represent.

“The stakes for this election could not be greater as we move into early voting.  It is important that everyone gets out to vote.  We want to build on the growing enthusiasm as we get closer to November 3rd to encourage all Tennesseans to exercise this precious right.”
