Sen. Yager Receives Honors for Dedication to Historic Rugby

NASHVILLE – State Senator Ken Yager (R-Kingston) has been honored for his support for historic Rugby.  Yager was presented a certificate of appreciation at Rugby’s annual Harvest Gala in November.

“It is a pleasure to support Historic Rugby which is such an important landmark in our Senate District,” said Senator Yager, who represents Fentress, Scott, Morgan, Campbell, Roane, Rhea and Pickett Counties.  “It brings tourists to our region, helping local businesses, as well as generating revenue streams for our local governments.  There is no other historic village quite like it and it is truly a Tennessee treasure.  I appreciate this recognition and look forward to continuing to partner with Historic Rugby supporters to see that it is preserved for future generations to enjoy.”

Senator Yager is serving his second term in the Senate representing District 12.  He is Chairman of the Senate State and Local Government Committee.
