Former Eagle and Teammates Ready for Season

Chattanooga, TN — The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga held a “Meet the Mocs” day on Sunday.  This was an opportunity for fans to come and meet team members from the different teams at UTC.

Leading off the day was the UTC football team that will begin play shortly. The were members of Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, Cheer, Tennis, Softball, Golf and others.  It was a lot of fun as fans old and young had an opportunity to meet, take pictures and get autographs of the players and coaches.

The Event was held in the pavilion beside Finely Stadium, which was constructed in 1997.  The Football Mocs are picked to win the Southern Conference this year. The Football Mocs shared their first Southern Conference title since 1984 last year. So the football team garnered a lot of attention at the event.

One Moc, Rhea County people will recognize is Jacob Revis, a Red-shirt Freshman Offensive Lineman.  Revis was an All-State player at Rhea County High School, who graduated in 2012.  Jacob Revis and his teammates expressed plenty of excitement about the upcoming season.

Before the first game, I will take a look at the UTC Football team as we approach their opening game against Central Michigan on August 28, at Mount Pleasant, Michigan.  The game is scheduled for a 7 pm kickoff and will be broadcast on ESPN3 and 96.1 FM.
