Anonymous Giver Challenges Community to Give
Spring City, TN — As work continues on the Tennessee Valley Theatre roof and other renovations, Tennessee Valley Theatre extends their thanks to all those who have made donations to the Theater for the work being done.
Donations are still being accepted. In order tot to keep the theater sound and solvent. If you would like to sponsor a play/event or give a donation/grant, please contact the theatre @ 423-365-9848.
One donation was an anonymous donation to the (TVT) Tennessee Valley Theater’s “Raise the Roof Fund” in the amount of $1,000.00 in name of the McCuiston Family. This anonymous person challenged the the people of our community to dig in their pocket and donate to TVT to raise the money to finish paying off the costs of a new roof and other needed repairs.
Tennessee Valley Theatre board of director member and vice president, Karen Holmes Beck said, “We very much appreciate all the donations that help make the roof and restoration work possible. Every donation no matter the size is important to the success of the restoration effort.”
“I would add donations secured from members, VEC, MTNG, Huber Engineered Wood, Lowe’s and the Rhea County Commission have allowed the project to begin and get the roof covered. Additional funds are needed To finish the exterior tie in of the new roof and make interior repairs as well as replace 20 year old HVAC units.
The Tennessee Valley Theatre is a nonprofit organization. The roof was in very poor condition with many leaks and other issues inside and out. We are still working to meet our goal to finish these projects.
