Tennessee Valley Theatre presents Steel Magnolias this weekend

Tennessee Valley Theatre in Spring City will present the heartwarming play STEEL MAGNOLIAS opening on September 9.

steel-magnolias-coverThe iconic comedy-drama written by Robert Harling is set in Chinquapin, Louisiana in Truvy’s beauty shop where the philosophy is “There is no such thing as natural beauty.”

STEEL MAGNOLIAS focuses on the camaraderie of six Southern women who talk, gossip, needle and harangue each other through the best of times- and comfort and repair one another through the worst. The play is alternately hilarious and touching with six female characters that are delicate as magnolias yet as strong as steel.

Production dates are Friday and Saturday, September 9 and 10 at 7:30; Sunday, September 11th at 2:00; Friday and Saturday, September 16 and 17 at 7:30; Sunday, September 18 at 2:00.

Tennessee Valley Theatre is located at 184 West Jackson Avenue in Spring City. Tickets are $10.00 for adults; $8.00 for students. The group rate (15 or more reservations required) is $1.00 off the ticket price. For more information or reservations call 1-423-365- PLAY ( 7529).
