Lakeview Baptist Church recognized by Spring City Chamber
The Spring City Chamber proudly awards the January 2015 Member of the Month to Lakeview Baptist Church. Here’s a message from Pastor Jonathan Jouben:
Lakeview Baptist Church has that small country church atmosphere without the critical spirit. God has called us to minister to those in the bondage of addiction in the Spring City area, with the hopeful message of freedom through Jesus Christ! It doesn’t matter if someone has just come from the jail, is an active drug user that is tired of the destructive cycle, or is a defeated Christian who has struggled in their walk with God, we are here to encourage everyone that comes through the door toward the love, joy, and peace that only comes through knowing Jesus Christ.
When you visit with us you will find the song service easy to participate in, with the old familiar hymns, hymnals, and an emphasis on congregational singing! You will find the teaching & preaching simple and practical, with an emphasis on the infallibility of the King James Bible.
We invite you to come visit us for Sunday school at 10 a.m., morning fellowship at 11 a.m., evening Bible study at 6 p.m. & midweek prayer meeting and Bible study at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. We also have a singing school every Sunday evening at 5 p.m. where anyone can come and develop their ability to read music and sing.
On the first Sunday of the month, the evening service is dedicated to questions and answers, and on the last Sunday of the month the evening service is dedicated to a special youth emphasis with a fellowship opportunity for the young people following the service.
We also host a local chapter of Reformers Unanimous recovery program on Friday evenings from 7 to 9:30 p.m. If you or someone you know is struggling with a stubborn habit or addiction, come check us out and learn how the TRUTH makes free finally!
