Boys win against Lake Forest and Ocoee, Girls Split

Dayton, TN — The Rhea Middle golf team hosted Lake Forest Middle and Ocoee Middle last night (3-21-19) for a 9-hole tri-match at Dayton Golf & Country Club. Rhea Middle boys posted two victories and improve their record to an unblemished 4-0. Their team score of 193 bested both Ocoee (196) and Lake Forest (229). Matthew Rothwell shared low-round medalist honors with Ocoee’s Ian Kinsey by shooting a 41. Rhea’s Luke Price followed with a 47. Nolan Purser (51) and Reagan Hinds (54), rounded out the score for the locals.
The Rhea girls posted a 118 in route to one win over Lake Forest (126), but fell short to Ocoee (112). Lilly Chattin led Rhea with a score of 57 and Lillee Hunt posted a 61. Rhea girls improved to 2-1 overall.
Rhea Middle will host Cumberland County on April 4 at 4 PM for a non-district match.
