Evensville, TN —  The Rhea Middle boy’s basketball looked strong in the Rhea Middle School Basketball camp held at Rhea County High School last week and in previous games in the summer.  Coach Lebron Herd lost 3 starters from last years team, but gained 2 transfers from Bledsoe County to help with the transistion.  The Eagles will start 5 eighth graders this year and look to have good height inside.

Coach Lebron Herd said, “We will be strong inside and out this year.  This should be the best team we have had at Rhea Middle since I arrived.”

“We have a  chance to do well in the post-season this year.  Of course that is if we stay healthy and play up to our potential.”

Lebron has coached basketball for 15 years, the last 5 at Rhea Middle School.  It looks like Rhea Middle could be fun to watch this year.  They played very aggressive on defense and hit the boards, passed well and ran the court.  Regular season will bring better competition.  With new starters, there will be more learning each other on the court during fall practice.  The Eagles should be a good team this coming season.
