Lady Eagles Win 30-19 To Even Record 1-1

Dayton, TN —  The Rhea Middle School Lady Eagles basketball team won 30-19 at Dayton City School to even their record at 1-1 for the year.  Hayla Patton and Lainey Fitzgerald tallied 10 and 8 points respectively to lead the Lady Eagles.  Also scoring were Hannah Pankey(4), Gracie Smith(4), Sydney Hampton(2) and Isabella Scott(2).  Leading Dayton City in scoring was Jayla Goins and Autumn Spivey with 6 and 5 points respectively.  Ava Travis(4), Bailyn Kinney(2)  and Maggie Johnson(2) also scored for Dayton City School.

Teams tied after one quarter at 5-5 before Rhea Middle took second quarter 10-4 to earn a 15-9 lead at half.  Dayton City took third quarter 5-4 to cut lead to 19-14 before Rhea Middle finished out strong for the 30-19 win.
