Lady Eagles win 4-2 and 11-4 against White County on road

Sparta, TN —  The Rhea County High School softball team traveled to White County recently for double header against district opponent White County.  The Lady Eagles earned a double header sweep on the day and season record now stands at 7-4.  McKinley Mathis pitchied a complete game, giving up five hits, one walk and two runs on the day.  Ellie Hickman had two hits and Hallie DeArman hit a home run to lead the offense.  Emma Gentry, Macy Welch, Madalyn Ray each contributed one hit.

The Second game ended Rhea County 11 and White County 4.  Madison McDonald pitched a complete game victory.  She gave up seven hits, two walks and four runs, while striking out seven batters.  Ellie Hickman had two single and double and Madalyn Ray had two double and single and Hallie DeArman had three run home run to lead the offense.  Macy Welch also contributed a triple and single on the day.  Brooke Tidwell, Madison McDonald, and Halleigh Phelps each contributed one hit.
