Girls’ Team Finishes 2nd at LFO Competition

Fort Oglethorpe, GA —  The Rhea County Junior Officer Reserve Training teams traveled to Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia for Raider competition on October
High School.  The female team finished second in the raider competition.  The male team did not finish in the top three.

Raiders is a fun and physically-active team activity that not only gets the cadets into shape, but teaches teaches leadership, teamwork and confidence.

Some of the events the teams compete in are one Rope Bridge, Cross Country Rescue, Fi,  Two-Mile Steeplechase, Log Carry, Tire Flip, and Obstacle Course.

The Rhea County female team finished first in the two mile run and sand bag carry.  They also finished second in the log carry, tire flip, obstacle course, cross country rescue and rope bridge.

The male team finished second in the rope bridge and third in log carry and two mile run.

Female team: Grada Barstow,Jaidon Cheek, Haley Edmonds, Kaydence Jenkins, Shelby Roberts, Cayla Massengill, Rebecca Marshall, Emily Rose, Hailey Tschantz, Andrea Perkins, and Venus Vincent.

Male team: Sth Copeland, Will Davis, Everette Hensley, Major HIckman, Ethan Murphy, Josh Rodriquez, Avery Soloe, Jose Valdez, Kobe King, Tristan Whittington.

Coed team: Mia Hickman, Kendall Garmany, Theresa Hudson, Angelina Ramos, Brooklyn Shadron, Nick Mahan, Caitlin Mahan, Christina Rosecrants, Kaley Weaver, piper Marshall.
