Evensville, TN — Rhea County Baseball played its first District Tournament game on Saturday and won 10-0 over Stone Memorial behind the pitching of Lane Keylon and run support from the top of the Eagle batting order. With the win the Eagles head to Warren County for tonight’s matchup with Warren County in a best of 3 series. Win or lose the Eagles will be back home on Tuesday for game 2 and game 3 will be back at Warren County, if necessary would be on Wednesday, at 6:30 pm.

Coach Rusty Ray said, “Great job by Lane Keylon on the mound.  I knew he could do it.”

“We pressed for runs every inning.  Everybody is playing well right now.”

Several players played well enough for “player of the game” with Keylon pitching shutout, Westin Day and Jordan Day getting 4 hits and Jordon Brown with 3 hits, 2 double and 3 RBI.  Great offensive game after taking a couple of innings to get started.
