December 2017

Dayton, TN —  The Rhea County High School baseball team held a Celebrity Serve at the Dayton Coffee House recently to raise money for baseball player Cameron Travis, who is due to have heart surgery on December 20th in North Carolina.

Over 25 players were on hand for the fundraiser and the community responded well and there were several donations as well.  Over $2800.00 was raised for Cameron to help with travel and Medical expenses related to his surgery.

Coach Rusty Ray said, “I am so grateful to Kim and the Dayton Coffee Shop for allowing us to do the Celebrity Serve here.”

“We had several donations from the community and from people who did not attend the Celebrity Serve and had a gentleman contact us from Cleveland, who saw the story and wanted to send money.  The response of the community was great.”

Kim Dotson, owner of Dayton Coffee House said, “This is the first Celebrity Serve we have hosted here at the Coffee Shop.  I was glad to do this for Cameron.”
