Alumni Game Still Looking To Supplement Roster for 2019

February 2019

Evensville, TN —  Rhea County High School Alumni Game is coming back for another year of fun and maybe a blooper reel.  Last year was lots of fun as over 30 Rhea County High School former players from the 80’s through 2016 put on the uniforms and put life and limb on the line for a good game.  Ok, that was a little dramatic.  Let’s just say there was a sale on Ben Gay at the local Walmart.

The 2019 RCHS Alumni Baseball Game is Saturday March 9 at Jim Rankin Field. Anyone wanting to play must pre-resister before February 28. To Register call Steven Kinney at 423-827-5466. The $20 fee will cover the cost of the jersey.

There will be a home run derby at 12:00 followed by the game at 1:00. All pre-registered players should arrive by 11:30 on March 9.   Admission is free!! Concessions will be open! Please come out for a fun day on the diamond!

The 2018 Baseball Alumni game was another fun evening as former Eagles from 1982 to 2015 came together to reminisce, play and hope to be able to walk the next day.  The team was split into odd vs even years but due to numbers, there were some evens on the odd team.  On the field it was green vs gold.  Doug Beard had the distinction of being the oldest and Travis Aikman was the youngest with 2016 graduation date.  The 2001 graduation class had the most players with three.  Eleven players were in a bunch, graduating between 2000 and 2004.  Steven Kinney once again did great job or organizing this wonderful event.
