The Remota Area Medical Clinic Will Be At Rhea Middle School March 9, 10
Evensville, TN — Remote Medical Assistance will be at Rhea Middle School on Saturday and Sunday if needed to offer free dental, vision and medical screenings to those who would not be able to get the service due to hardships. This event has not been in Rhea County for several years. This event calls for many volunteers working together to service the community with free services.
The Clinic is scheduled to begin at 6 am on Saturday and Sunday. Each person will need an entry ticket and those will be passed out at the Rhea County Fair grounds beginning at 3 am each day. Scheduled hours are shown as 6 am to 2 pm but volunteers will stay until all those who receive a ticket have been given service. The amount of tickets will be limited to amount of service providers available each day.
The Rhea Middle School Gym will become the center of attention. Remote Area Medical Volunteers will deliver and setup dental chairs and station at the gym before Saturday. There will be stations for checking vision and another for making the glasses onsite. This event will be supported by over 400 volunteers for the two days.
In some situations, such as inclement weather, volunteer cancellations, or other circumstances outside of RAM’s control, ticketing may occur earlier than 3:00am. RAM encourages everyone who would like services, especially dental services, to arrive as early as possible.
Dental, vision and medical services will provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Time constraints may force patients to choose between dental and vision. Medical services are offered to every patient attending the clinic.
