Carrabelle’s Casual Café under construction at the Sleep Inn & Suites complex.
Dayton’s newest restaurant Carrabelle’s Casual Cafe is currently under construction in south Dayton on the complex in front of the new Sleep Inn and Suites Hotel. For the past several months, motorist have traveled up and down the bypass in south Dayton and observed the construction progress of the new hotel being built. But the question that has remained on everyone’s mind, “What new restaurant was coming to that location?”. At first, there were many guesses and talk quickly spread of a Burger King coming. But that information was incorrect.

Construction has begun in front of the hotel where the Carrabelle’s Casual Cafe will be built, leaving room for the possibility of up to three additional restaurants in the future at the complex. Carrabelle’s Casual Cafe will be serving contemporary American food such as fish, chicken, and steaks along with a variety of other menu items.
The restaurant will also contain a full-service beverage bar. Upon on completion, the restaurant will be 5000 ft.² and will seat up to 240 people. The interior construction will be a combination of brick and stone with open ceilings and polished concrete floors providing patrons with a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy their meal. An additional feature for the patrons will be the 65 x 12 ft outdoor patio which will be adjacent to the restaurant providing a choice of dining indoors or outdoors. The patio will be complete with a fire pit and can be used year-round.
Carrabelle’s Casual Café will be open with a professional staff from lunch through evening dinner, seven days a week. Brunch will be offered on Sundays. Catering services will also be made available for offsite events.
Carrabelle’s Casual Café is a non-chain restaurant, and will be owned by local and surrounding area businessman. With the combination of this restaurant and the recently opened hotel, this complex will be providing us with amenities which are much needed in order to draw visitors, and new businesses to our area.
A second restaurant, adjacent to Carrabelle’s Casual Cafe, is currently under legal negotiations. Rhea Review will monitor the progress of the new restaurant(s) and keep you informed of new developments such as opening date, and etc. as this information becomes available.
