Life-long Rhea County resident, Adam Sims is best known for his entrepreneurial spirit and generous giving. Not only is Sims well-known in Rhea County, but he’s also very established in the world of social media. His company Mega Pawn has received a great deal of national exposure due to their nearly 22,000 Likes on Facebook.
A video guru from Fox Sports came across Mega Pawn on the internet and quickly contacted a media group specializing in Reality TV Shows. The group has extensive experience filming Reality TV shows for A&E and the History channel. After making arrangements with Sims, the group traveled from New York and filmed for several days at Mega Pawn here in Dayton, TN.

Sims has a lot of enthusiasm for Rhea County and loves the people here. When asked what makes his pawn shop unique, Sims says, “In this day and time most pawn shops have a major retailer appearance. People want to go to pawn shops for a bargain. If you keep the overhead down, you can keep a lower price on your merchandise. This makes it more appealing to the consumer that does their shopping in a pawn shop.”
