Lady Eagles Continue to Soar

The Lady Eagles Soccer team gets another big victory this past Thursday over Stone Memorial.

The Lady Eagles had huge success in their play day and also beat rival Cleveland in their home opener.

Against Stone this past Thursday, The Lady Panthers was able to break through the Rhea County defense early in the first half and took the lead 1-0 at half time.

In the second half the Lady Eagles came out strong with freshman Sophie looking to capitalize and bring the game back to even. Half way through the second half Sophie was able to break through the Panthers defense, but she was tripped from behind earning a penalty kick. Senior Erica Chacon stepped up and hammered the penalty in to tie the game.

Few minutes later with about 10 minutes left in the game, a loose ball was bouncing around in the Panthers box when Michaela Reeves was able to get a foot on the ball and poke it up leading the Eagles to another huge victory.

Tomorrow the Lady Eagles will be looking to remain undefeated by facing tough foe in Ootewalh at home at 7pm.
