The Dayton plant of 1350 employees welcomed Tennessee Occupational Health and Safety Administration and Volunteer Protection Program Manager David Blessman onsite to present La-Z-Boy Tennessee with the Tennessee Commissioner’s Award for Workplace Safety and Health.

“This award truly demonstrates that La-Z-Boy Tennessee is committed to the safety and health of it’s team members. The site has maintained an injury rate less than 30% of the industry average.” said Blessman as he presented the award to the leadership team and all the safety team leaders.

“La-Z-Boy receiving this prestigious award establishes that our team is committed to hazard recognition and control. All of our team members practice safe work habits and truly watch out for each other. Our goal is that everyone goes home each day in the same physical condition in which they arrived.” – EHS Manager Dennis Poland
