Evensville, TN — The DCS Boys basketball team completed their summer camp schedule with an appearance in the Rhea Middle School Camp held at Rhea County High School. The kids played well together in the Rhea Middle camp and will look to improve during the summer. This is not a tall team, but it does have some very good outside shooting. As usual during summer camps, there was a lot of substituting by Coach Hurst as she looked to find the right combination for success on the court. It has been a good summer so far for the team as they have a good record, and look to be more cohesive together.
Coach Hurst has been impressed with this teams work ethic on the court and their interaction on and off the court. She was very excited about the improvement being made by this team.
Coach Kristy Hurst said, “This is a newly formed squad that is coming together better than I had hoped for. They are a hard working group and are playing like a team. So far we are 8-3 in our summer camps and are hoping for a great season. All 6 veteran players are contributing in both in scoring and rebounding. Those players are: Gabriel Maldonado, Adam Clark, Carter Rekoske, Kade Vincent, Jacob Allen and newcomer Tony Rodriquez.”
“Several others are getting some time on the court like: Levi Stumbo, Tyler Dupree, Cameron Warfield, Lane Brooks and Isaiah Cissell. I am excited about how these young men are coming together and playing as a team. I am expecting good things from this crew.”
