Dayton City Basketball Opens With 48-25 Win Over RMS

Bryce Dupre Leads Bees with 21 points

Dayton, TN —  Dayton City School boys’ basketball team started off the season with a convincing 48-25 win over Rhea Middle School   Bryce Dupre had 21 points to lead all scorers.  Kyler Aiken was also in double figures with 11 points.  Ethan Davis scored 8 points, Rex Pendergrass 5 points and Brett Hurst 3 points to round out the DCS scoring.  Rhea Middle school was led by Ian Barley with 6 points and Kaleb Martin with 5 points.  Also scoring for the Eagles were Mahki Wilkerson(3), Blake Wheat(3), Taylor Willis(1) and Britey Mayberry(2).

Game was 10-6 after the first quarter with Bees in the lead.  Both teams scored 7 points in second quarter to make score 17-13 at the half.  DCS broke open the game with a 20-3 margin in the third quarter on their way to 48-25 win.

Dayton City will be back in action on Monday, November 5, 2018 with all four teams playing.  First game begins at 4:30 pm with girls junior varsity.
