Rhea County senior standout Chandler Kaylor was named SouthEast Bank’s Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Cane Ridge to cap the Eagles’ regular season.
At middle linebacker, Kaylor was credited with five solo tackles, three assists, and a sack on the night.
This is only the latest of Chandler’s many accolades of which he’s garnered in his highly decorated career at Rhea County.
In 2017, Kaylor was named the Region 4-5A Defensive Player of the Year and recently received an invitation to the 2018 Toyota East vs. West Tennessee All-Star Classic.
Kaylor and his Eagle brethren will begin their trek to the 5A state championship game this Friday as they play their first round playoff game against the Wildcats at Oak Ridge.
The Defensive Player of the Week award is presented by SouthEast Bank.
