Bryan Lady Lions win big over Hiwassee Lady Tigers

The Bryan Lady Lions won a home basketball contest against the Hiwassee, 92-60, on Saturday Night. The Lady Lions stretched their lead to 47-35 at the half and in the second half they outscored the Lady Tigers 45-25 in the second to easily win 92-60. Bryan shot 54.2% from the field and outrebounded Hiwassee 46-29.

Leading the way for the Lady Lions was Vicky Griffin and Kristin Lane with 14 and 13 points each. Griffin added 8 rebounds and Lane added 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals. Also contributing for Bryan was Rachel Calfee (10pts), Kelia Formont (9pts), Dasha Sharova (9pts), Megan Billingsly (8pts), Jenna Ray (7pts) and Abby McCullough (7pts). Twelve players were in the scoring column for Bryan as the 92 points scored was the high point for Bryan this year.

Lady Lions win again on the road

Bryan also won a road game with Florida College on Monday night by a 74-43 score as Victoria Griffin lead the way with 11 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. After the win the Lady Lions record now stands at 10-3. The Lions play again on Wednesday at Southeastern University with a scheduled 7:00pm ET tipoff.
