Ribbon Cutting held on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
Spring City, TN — “Welcome to Bitner’s” is what you will likely hear when walking through the door from the owners Stephen and Paulette or from one of their friendly staff members. Stephen and Paulette moved to Spring City in March of 2015 from Weaverville, North Carolina. They purchased the RV Park, which housed the Old Jokers Bar, in September 2016.
It was the goal of redeveloping the site into a location that added to the beautiful Spring City community by providing much needed upgrades to the camping sites and transforming the building into a first class convenience store offering snacks, beverages, RV supplies, fishing/hunting license, boat registration, bait & tackle and a host of other supplies . The Deli offers home cooking as well as freshly breaded chicken and hand-pattied burgers. Bitner’s offers daily plate specials.
Saturday’s ribbon cutting represented a milestone of bringing to life the vision over the last two years and is a stepping stone for future growth plans of adding secure RV storage, dog park, paved parking, fuel lottery/EBT sales and more, over the course of the next few years.
This would not have been possible without the support and dedication of the staff (Robyn, Katie, Lashawn, Keisa, Michelle , Brittany, Ed, and Emma) family & friends, community members, First Tennessee Bank (Alex Reed, Jennifer Morris), Rirst Responders, Spring City Chamber and Rhea County Commissioners.
