United Way of Chattanooga will use the contribution to support programs that create long lasting change in the local community. The United Way is dedicated to improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good, as is evident from the work the Rhea County United Way is doing in Tennessee For example, in the past year, the organization helped fund the Imagination Library Program in Rhea County that sends a book to every child until they go to kindergarten.

United Way of Rhea County Executive Director Christine Ralph plans to use these funds for education programs.

“These funds will go to support our Imagination Library program,” says Christine Ralph.  “We have 900 plus book mailed out each month to Rhea County children ages 5 and under.”
