Paris, TN — Most professional anglers fishing on Kentucky Lake this weekend are hoping to make the top 20 cut for the opportunity to fish again tomorrow. The event marks the last stop on the 2014 Walmart FLW Tour and will determine the Top 30 qualifiers for the Forrest Wood Cup, 2014 Rookie of the Year, and the coveted Kellogg’s Angler of the Year title.
You’ve gotta be driven enough to get your butt outta bed, stay there till dark, and work your guts out.

After Day One, Dayton’s Andy Morgan rounded out the Top 10 with a 2 lb advantage over Cody Meyer who is only 8 pts behind in the FLW Angler of the Year race. Morgan is gunning for his 2nd consecutive AOY title and hopes to hoist another $100k check in the air come Sunday.
It was a special moment for Morgan when he won his first AOY title last year in right here in Dayton, TN on Lake Chickamauga.
Morgan told Gene Henley of the Times Free Press, “The name of the game is consistency, but there’s nothing sweeter than to come here and be named the AOY in front of the home crowd. It’s sweet as sugar.”
Morgan credits hard work and lots of it to account for his key to consistency.
“You are gonna spend a lot of long hours on the water and a lot of long days on the water. You’ve gotta be driven enough to get your butt outta bed, stay there till dark, and work your guts out,” says Morgan.
