B.A.S.S. will be hosting a lake clean up on 3 August 2019, 8:30am to noon as part of the 2019 Carhartt Bassmaster College Series National Championship. Headquartered at the Dayton Boat Dock, Dayton TN, BASS is inviting everyone to come out help and after words watch the final weigh in of the 2019 Carhartt Bassmaster Series College Championship.
Following the success of the last lake clean up event on Guntersville Lake held during the June BASS Elite tournament, in which several thousand pounds of trash where removed from the lake. The challenge was made to duplicate the efforts and results. Area High School BASS teams and local anglers are extending a “Call for Help” to anyone or any organizations that wishes to come out and help for a couple hours.
Event organizers will be providing trash bags, gloves and picker up tools. TVA, TWRA and area anglers will have boats to transport folks to areas of high concern. If you wish to use your own watercraft, please feel free to bring it.
Organized by B.A.S.S. Conservation in conjunction with Tennessee B.A.S.S. Nation Conservation, Tennessee BASS Nation College/High School and Youth with help from the Carhartt, Tennessee Valley Authority, Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency, Fish Dayton and area High School Bass Teams.
