Lady Bees drop opening tournament game 34-30 to Catlettsburg

Gatlinburg, TN — Dayton City School girls’ basketball team came up just short and did not advance in the State tournament against Catlettsburg Elementary School 34-30 on Saturday. After beginning the game with a 7-3 deficit, the Lady Bees played even over the next three quarters. Leading Dayton City in scoring was Emma Gentry with 12 points. Also scoring were Chloe Atkin 6 , Shelby Davis with 6 points, Ava Travis with 4 points, Bailyn Kinney with 2 points and Ashley Brannen with 2 points.
