Shake the Lake provides fun, prizes, food and fireworks

July 5, 2017

Spring City, TN —  The 2017 Shake the Lake Event, held at Veterans Park continued a community tradition in Spring City with the pageant kicking off the festivities.  The Firecracker Pageant for young boys and girls and the turnout was very good.  The pickle and watermelon contests generated plenty of interest.  Later in the day came the Duck race, which gave away several good prizes to the winners.  Several vendors were on hand and one of the more popular was the Animal Shelter pavilion with lots of kittens and dogs.
