Christmas Eve Toy Drive Finds Home for Toys

December 2018

Dayton, TN — Wonderful Christmas Eve as donated toys and more were distributed here in Dayton. Roy Pankey continued tradition of distributing toys of Christmas Eve that were donated or bought with donations or were donated at his Christmas Camp held at Rhea County Community Center(for last five years). Several pastors were present for the events and Mike Patton delivered a Christmas message for those in attendance. Helping out were also several basketball players that Pankey has mentored over the years including Jessee Wallis and Zach Hyatte. Jessee is presently playing at Kent State in Ohio and Zach is heading to Afghanistan with the military in February. Both players had outstanding basketball careers at Rhea County High School.

Several players participated in the Christmas basketball camp with Roy. Great to see these young people giving back to the community. But this morning was all about the children and there were more than enough presents to make Christmas special as it has for the last 27 years on Christmas Eve.
