The Kiwanis Club does fundraising throughout the year to make this event possible. Several large contributors as well as businesses contribute to the cause. Another significant contribution comes from the community of Spring City as neighbors look to help out neighbors. Sunday School Classes at United Methodist Church make this a project around Christmas time to give money for the cause.
The acquisition process of the the food begins in November and the logistics are put in place to bring the food and community together. Potential families are made aware of the coming distribution and fill out paperwork that is brought with the families to the pickup.
