Lady Eagles go 5-0 and Eagles 3-1 in early season action

Evensville, TN —  Both Rhea County tennis teams won their last two matches.  On March 22nd, both teams prevailed against Bradley at home.  Teams then went on the road to Rivermont Courts for wins over Red Bank.  With the wins the Lady Eagles run their season mark to 5-0 and the Eagles mark toes to 3-1 on the season.

After the Red Bank match, coach Lil Andrews said, “This was especially good showing with # 2 Madison Martin out sick.  The # 2 doubles team made great comeback from down 1-4 to pull out the 8-5 win.  Cabaugh trailed most her match, before coming back for her first varsity win.  Alexis Smith also picked up her first varsity win.

The tennis teams next head to warmer weather as they travel down to Gulf Shores during Spring Break for game with Gulf Shores High School.
