May 2018

Dayton, TN —  The Rhea County Bowling team announced the 2018-19 bowling team after tryouts on Friday at Crystal Lanes Bowling Center in Dayton.  The team added eight new members for the 2018-19 season.  Rhea County High Bowling coach Steve Williams will be looking to continue the success for the bowling team that sent three bowlers to State last year.   Phillip Rogers, Baylee Shipley and Millie Shadden participated in the State individual competition in Smyrna, Tennessee.  Two of those bowlers will be back next year and Millie Shadden became the first Rhea County bowler to sign a bowling scholarship when she inked with Tennessee Wesleyan this spring.  The boys ended the regular season at 9-5 and girls at 8-5, down from previous years.
