Rhea County Basketball Splits with Jets

Crossville, TN — The Rhea County Basketball teams split two Varsity games with Cumberland County on Friday night. In the girls game it was the 13th ranked Lady Jets with the 66-50 win. In the Boy’s game it was the Eagles with the 67-58 win.

Coach Mike Phillips said, “It was good to see 4 days of preparation pay off Friday night.”

Lady Eagle Scoring: Wallis 32, Levi 9, Thurman 4, Baker 3, Revis 2. Wallis 3 of 7 from 3 point range and 11/11 from the Free Throw line.

The Eagles pushed their overall record to 8-7 for the year overall and 1-2 in District play(4th). The Lady Eagles record goes to 16-6 overall and 1-2 in District(4th).

Rhea County will next be in action at East Hamilton on Monday, January 12, 2015. Junior Varsity games are at 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm Varsity games will be Girls at 6:00 pm and Boys at 7:30 pm.
