McMinnville, TN — Rhea County Basketball got exciting at Warren County. The Eagles went into overtime for the 73-71 win. The Eagles ran their season record to 10-8 overall and 2-2 in District play. All the Rhea County teams will be in action at home on Tuesday against Cookeville. Those games are scheduled for 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm. Junior Varsity action is scheduled for 5:30 on both courts.

The Eagles trailed at the end of each of the first three quarters but not by much. Scores at the end of the quarters was 12-15(1st), 28-32(2nd), and 45-47(3rd). The only quarter score that counted was the 4th and Rhea County stood even with Warren County after four quarters. In overtime the Eagles pulled out the 73-71 win.

Four Eagles were in double figures for the Eagles. Noel Patterson lead all scorers with 20 points and added 7 assists. Logan Hunter had 17 points 3 steals, and 6 rebounds. Gavin Downey had 12 points and was a perfect 3 of 3 from beyond the arc. Lee Hill had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the game. David Loden had 4 steals to lead the team. Gavin Downey came off the bench to hit two big three pointers and two free throws to energize the team in the second quarter.

Other Scoring: Westin Ray 6, David Loden 5, Keith hall 2.
