The Rc3 soccer program has been a focal point for soccer in Rhea County for over 20 years. First as the Rhea Family YMCA and now as the Rhea County Community Center, we have provided youth recreational soccer for the boys and girls of Rhea County.

We are very excited to announce what we believe will be a monumental step toward making soccer in Rhea County more competitive and elevate us to the same level as other soccer programs in the Chattanooga Area.

In the 2017-2018 season, we will be joining the Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA), the state association of USA Soccer, as the Rc3 Football Club (Rc3 FC).

Affiliation with TSSA will provide multiple benefits for our soccer program. The first of which will allow us to register and develop our more highly skilled players on club or travel soccer teams that can play other club teams at their age level in a more competitive atmosphere.

This year we had our first state registered club team made up of U14 girls, but because we were not a part of the TSSA we had to register through the Readout Soccer Program. Readout was very gracious to allow us to do this, but it is not a viable option as we look to field more club teams.

This association will allows to register our own teams under our own program. In addition, our recreational players will also be registered with the TSSA which allows for additional health insurance for these children if they were to be injured during play and allows for a Rec Plus opportunity where recreational players can go play other recreational teams from other local soccer programs in the area in the hopes of giving them variety in the teams they play and possibly encouraging them toward club level soccer.

One of the most exciting aspects of this affiliation is the educational resources for our coaches to achieve higher coaching licensing at little to no cost to them. The TSSA provides licensing classes for all coaching levels and member coaches can participate in the classes for free. Other benefits include free background checks on coaches and volunteers, Pre-sale tickets to many soccer events, and education on concussions and cardiac emergencies.

We would like to announce tryouts for the inaugural Rc3 club teams coming this summer. We plan on having a U18, U16, and U14 boys teams as well as U14 and U12 girls teams. These tryouts are open to all Rhea County residents and any players in the surrounding counties looking for an opportunity to play club level soccer.
