Roy Pankey’s long running camp is for ages Pre-K through Middle School

Pikeville, TN —  The Power Up Basketball Summer Youth Camp is scheduled for next week on July 17-19(Monday-Wednesday) at Pikeville Elementary School in Pikeville.  The camp is for youth from Pre-Kindergarten through middle school age, will run 9 am to 1 EST pm daily. Cost of camp is $75.00, with sibling discounts available.  Nobody is turned away for inability to pay.  Lunch will be served each day.  The camp is run by Roy Pankey, longtime basketball coach, clinician and mentor, who specializes in player development.  The camp has been going continually since 2007.  Roy used to do camps with the Dayton YMCA as well as many other camps.  Roy annually does a Christmas Camp Dayton that helps with his Christmas Toy Drive Roy and volunteers have been doing for 25 years.

Roy has worked individually with over 50 players who have gone on to play College Basketball.  Camp staff will include High School and college basketball players, all of which have trained with Roy Pankey over the years.

Power-Up basketball works to have a well organized, focused learning environment, while having fun.  Director Roy Pankey considers his staff second to none in basketball instruction.  The mission of the Power-Up organization is to promote and teach the great game of basketball.  Campers will be placed in small groups, according to age and skill level.  They will spend time at work stations that focus on different elements of the game.
