125th Anniversary Of New Union Baptist Church

On November 1, 2015, at 10:00 AM New Union Baptist Church is celebrating its 125th Anniversary.

Since 1890, the members of the church have gathered for worship, preaching, the Lord’s Supper, and Baptism. Deuteronomy 7:9 says, “that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.”

For 125 years at New Union Baptist Church, God has proven His Word to be true through His faithfulness to generation after generation.

New Union is gathering to remember “the wondrous works that He has done.” (Psalm 105:5) Throughout the church’s history there have been many pastors, thousands of members, over 5,000 thousand services, and hundreds of baptisms. At the center of the preaching, worship, family life, the ministries of the church, and mission of the God is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Many have worked hard for the sake of the Lord at New Union over the years, but the most wondrous work He has done is the work of Christ on the cross for the forgiveness of sin.

The world has changed immensely over the last 125 years. New Union has changed as well. The church built buildings, bought land, changed pastors, and grew. As New Union celebrates its anniversary, the religious landscape is shifting in our country, but the church remains anchored to the truth of the Gospel.

New Union celebrates through remembering the past, celebrating the present, and anticipating the future believing “that He who began a good work… will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (Phil 1:6)

“23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23 (ESV)

New Union Baptist Church is located at 4060 Double S Road in Dayton.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
