Monkey Town and Cumberland Cafe featured in TNECD video

MainStreet Dayton’s Monkey Town Brewing Company and Cumberland Cafe receive state-wide attention in newly featured video by TNECD, the state’s economic and community development agency.

The video focuses on the value of small businesses in their communities and chose MainStreet Dayton as a state-wide model.

“The heart of a small town is it’s downtown,” insists Sara Gatlin of Cumberland Cafe which offers fresh made from scratch food while sourcing ingredients from local suppliers.

“It’s people putting their heart and soul into what they do,” stated Kirby Garrison of Monkey Town Brewing Company who along with his father and co-owner Alan Garrison just announced a new expansion that provides over 3500 square feet of space.

MainStreet Dayton Director Rachel Marshall says it’s an honor for Dayton’s downtown to be showcased state-wide.

“We couldn’t be prouder of Cumberland Cafe and Monkey Town Brewing Company.  Along with our many other blooming small businesses, they are driving success and bringing life back to our downtown,” remarked Marshall.
