Clyde W. Roddy Library offers June reading contest
Dayton, TN — Beginning Friday, June 1, 2018, the Clyde W. Roddy will begin their summer reading program for month of June with kickoff registration all day Friday. There will be activities throughout the month, with final closing ceremony on June 29th with multiple prizes awarded. The focus of the program is to read. We all know how important reading is and to get rewarded for something so fun is even better. After June, still lots of books and fun at the Clyce W. Roddy Library.
Just some of the activities include lego challenge, book readings, games, craft, visits from Chattanooga Zoo and Rhea County Animal Shelter. The Closing Ceremony will be at 1:30 on Friday, June 29th.
There will be visit from the Grandview Pickers, bluegrass band on the 12th, and the Boots and Roses Dance group on June 14th. Check out the calendar below for more information.
Patrons will be check out books and receive tickets for book checkouts. These tickets can be placed in whatever prize box you wish(in your age group). Random drawings will be at closing ceremony.
Only one winning box per person. No one can win top reader prize and a prize box. Onley one top reader prize per family. Must be present to win.
As always there are several organization that donated money to make this event happen. Those organizations and individuals included LaZy Boy, Middle Tennessee Home Town Help Grant, Dollar General Grant, Creative Discover Museum, Dayton Utility Grant, Suburban, First Bank, Logan Family Medicine, Chattanooga Lookouts, Chattanooga Railroad, Rock City, Chattanooga Zoo, Waterworks Carwash, Monkey Town Brewing, Ruby Falls, Charlie Rogers and Crown Motors and library patrons.
