Johnson’s Taekwondo Academy raises money for charity

October 2018

Dayton, TN —  The Johnson Taekwondo Academo held a “Kickin’ for a Cure” fundraising event in the parking lot of their school in Dayton.  Activities included breaking boards, getting haircuts, getting face painting and selling pastries and other food.   The event was a big success as at the end the group stood behind a $5,5000 check.  The money was to go to Saint Jude Children’s Network.

The event would not have been possible without the help of students, parents and local businesses.  Also thanks went out to Sign Solutiions for the event banner and St. Jude Shirts, to Uniques Hiar Designs for the “Cuts for a Cure” and Painting.

The following businesses gave full/partial box of boards’ sponsorship: Blue Ridge Capital Dayton, LLC, Full Throttle Stump Grinding, Rhea County Sheriffs Department (Sheriff Mike Neal), Workout Anytime Dayton TN, Spring City Diner, George Thacker and Hixson Insurance Agency.

Also a thank-you to the following businesses for food & drink related donations: Captain D’s, Kenny’s Bar and Grill, JacobMyer’s Restaurant on the River, Gondolier Italian Restaurant & Pizza – Dayton, Krystal, United Grocery Outlet Dayton, and The Dairy Barn

One of our tenets in TaeKwonDo is COMMUNITY. As a community, we displayed just how important coming together really is! Johnson’s TaeKwonDo Academy is so thankful we were able to host this great event in memory of Jaxon. $5,500.00 exceeded our goal!
