Dayton, TN —  On Christmas Eve, Roy Pankey and several of his basketball players who workout with Roy, Mike Patton a missionary to Nicaragua, local pastor Brian Conley and several church members were on hand to help distribute toys to the Dayton Housing Authority community area.

Lots of toys.

Nice group of volunteers helped setup the toys and clothes for distribution and then members of community had the opportunity to receive free toys and clothes after a couple of songs by Brian Pankey and short message about the significance of the season by Mike Patton.  Toys and clothes went quickly and brought smiles to faces of lot of young and old alike on this Christmas Eve.  There was also a donation of bibles that were given out.

Roy Pankey began this journey 26 years ago.  Roy coaches AAU baskeball and many of his players came from the local area and together they decided that it would be great to give back to the community and the rest is history.   Four years ago, Roy combined his love of basketball and people with the annual youth basketball camp held at RC3, which is a free tournament, where campers are encouraged to bring toys for distribution, but no camper is turned away.
