Dayton City School Bees Double Trouble for Norwood

Norwood Middle School basketball teams came to visit Dayton City School and left with 2 losses. Both the Ladies and Men’s team were victorious over the visiting Norwood teams.

Lady Bees Destroy Competition, 50-4

In the first game the Lady Bees jumped out to a 16-0 first quarter lead as they came out in a very effective full court press lead and continued to increase the lead on their way to a 50-4 win. Micah Black led all scorers with 16 points and Madison, Sekura and Edwards contributed 11, 9 and 8 points respectively. Also scoring for Dayton City School was Kaitlyn Ostenburg with 4 points and Emily Smith with 2 points.

Killer Bees Win Again, 50-9

In the second game of the night the Bees began well and by halftime they were up by a 34-3 margin. The Dayton City team was continually able to force turnovers and converted at the other end on high percentage shots. In the second half they continued to maintain the intensity on their way to a 50-9 victory.

The Bees top scorers were Jordan Wilkerson (16 points), Reece Cooley (13 points) and Russell Green (9 points).

Upcoming Action at the Bee Hive

Dayton City School next plays at home against Oakdale on Thursday night with Junior Varsity Boys tipping off at 5:30 PM.
