“I felt so happy, I couldn’t even explain how happy I was,” states 9-year-old Kynlin who entered the 4th-grade at Rhea Central Elementary on Friday.

“A lot of my friends were congratulating me on winning.  It felt wonderful,” said Kynlin of her first day at school.

She began competing iat the age of seven and holds a remarkable record.  Out of 13 pageants, she’s won 12, now that’s a good batting average.

In February, she won the 2017 Miss Mardi Gras in Cookeville.  In April, she was named Miss Tennessee Duchess in Knoxville where she also won Top Model, Most Photogenic, and Prettiest Dress.

That win earned an invitation to the 2017 Amerifest National Pageant, where she represented Tennessee in the largest field (9-year-olds) of the event.

Kynlin admits there’s more to pageantry than pretty dresses and crowns.  She says it takes a lot of hard work, commitment, and dedication to be successful.

“It takes a lot, and when I say a lot, I mean a lot,” she insists.

Her mother, Kendra Thomas couldn’t be prouder and says they are definitely looking at more pageants in the near future.
