Evensville, TN — The Rhea County Baseball team has scheduled a Banquet on March 9, 2015 at the Rhea County High School. The Banquet will be held at the Rhea County High School auditorium & cafe at 6:00 pm. University of Tennessee Baseball Coach Dave Serrano will be the guest speaker. Guest Speaker Serrano has been the Baseball Coach at Tennessee for three seasons. His teams have improved their win total every year and last year UT won 31 games.
Serrano’ previous coaching stop was at Cal State Fullerton. He led the Titans to the NCAA tournament every year that he served as head coach. He also helped guide the Titans to the College World Series in 2009. He has compiled an overall record of 175-73 in his four seasons with the Titans.

Serrano holds a bachelor’s degree from Trinity College and University (2003) and was born on June 28, 1964, in Torrance, Calif. He and his wife, Tracy, have three sons, Kyle, Zachary and Parker.
I spoke with Dave Serrano on the phone and he shared some comments about Tennessee and Tennessee baseball.
Dave Serrano said, ” I am wanting to get the best in-state players from Tennessee. I am excited to be out in the communities of Tennessee speaking about baseball.”
“I love the state of Tennessee. I love that we have the four seasons here in Tennessee. The people are who really make Tennessee special. I was very excited to have an opportunity to return to Tennessee. I enjoyed my two years at the University of Tennessee back in 1995-96.”
