Randy Boyd stops in Dayton on his 537 mile run across Tennessee

Dayton, Tn — Candidate for Governor Randy Boyd is running the state to visit all 95 counties to meet some of the 6.6 million Tennesseans in his bid for governor. Randy Boyd was in Rhea County and Dayton as Nokian Tyres officially broke ground on new site! On site for the groundbreaking were Nokian officials, local officials and Senator Ken Yager, U.S. Congressman Scott DesJarlais, Governor Bill Haslam, and State Representative Ron Travis Representative just to name a few.
After the groundbreaking, Randy Boyd spent time at the Welcome Center in Dayton. After giving a short talk about his run for the governor post, he opened up the floor to questions from those in attendance.
A longtime businessman in the city of Knoxville, he is the founder and chairman of Radio Systems Corporation, the owner of the Tennessee Smokies Baseball team and the Johnson City Cardinals.
Boyd recently served in Governor Bill Haslam’s cabinet as the state Commissioner of Economic and Community Development, where he helped create the state’s Drive to 55 workforce development initiative, and the tnAchieves and Tennessee Promise scholarship program to help young people go to college.
Randy is running to serve as the 50th governor of the state of Tennessee. Randy wants to give Tennesseans a chance for a better life through access to better education and better jobs.
